Woj: Brook Lopez returning to Milwaukee Bucks on 4-year deal

The Los Angeles Lakers continue to lose options to fill the center position next to Anthony Davis and LeBron James.

While the Brooklyn Nets are expected to come to terms with DeAndre Jordan when free agency opens in less than 30 minutes, another potential option for the Lakers at center is also expected to come to terms with another team.

Milwaukee center Brook Lopez is expected to agree to a pretty large 4-year deal worth $52 million, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

That seems much higher than what the Lakers were likely willing to pay to fill the center position. With Jordan and Lopez now off the market, the Lakers may potentially wind up back with JaVale McGee or perhaps another center that we’ve yet to hear about in connection to them such as Robin Lopez of the Chicago Bulls.

However, filling out the center position is not the top priority for the Lakers as free agency begins. Kawhi Leonard is expected to meet with the Lakers as they try to bring the 2019 Finals MVP home to Southern California.
