WKD is launching a dark fruit flavour and it lands in UK stores this spring

It seems that the alcoholic drink of our teenage years is set to make a comeback...

WKD is launching a new dark fruit flavour of its iconic vodka-based drink - and it's the perfect tipple for parties.

The new drink is sure to be a huge hit with 90s kids who will remember sipping bottles of the original blue flavour, which remains one of the highest selling alcopops.

Like WKD's other flavours, which include mango and pink gin, the dark fruit version boasts an alcohol by volume (ABV) of four per cent.

It comes in 275ml and 700ml size bottles and will be available in most shops and supermarkets from March this year.

The prices haven't been confirmed yet, but with a 700ml bottle of WKD Blue costing £3 in Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury's, we reckon they won't be much different.

If you want to stock up other flavours, Sainsbury's is selling a mixed multipack for £12 and it includes bottles of Original Blue, Mango Crush and Berry.

Meanwhile, Co-op has launched a new meal deal that gets you six frozen items for just £5 .
