Low-cost airline Wizz Air is adding nine new summer routes as it launches its latest operations hub next month.
The carrier will commence flights for Cardiff Airport on June 17 operating routes to Larnaca (Cyprus), Corfu, Heraklion (Crate), Faro (Algarve), Alicante, Lanzarote, Palma de Mallorca, and Tenerife.
Further flights to the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh are scheduled to start in October and the airline is promising "ultra-low fares."
Passengers can book tickets with the airline’s travel insurance package which includes Covid-19 cover and WIZZ Flex, which allows travellers to cancel their flight up to three hours before departure without any fee.
They will also receive 100 per cent of the fare immediately reimbursed in airline credit.
It will provide a convenient travel option for most of Wales and the south-west of England.
