
A section of Witthayu Road will be closed to traffic on Saturday and Sunday for the 34th Asean Summit in Bangkok.
The Metropolitan Police Bureau said Thailand, as host of the meeting, would welcome the regional leaders of 10 Asean member countries. The meeting will be held at The Athenee Hotel.
Traffic will be closed on Witthayu Road, from Phloenchit intersection to Sarasin intersection, from 6am on June 22 to 6pm on June 23, said the MPB in its press release.
The temporary road closure will affect Witthayu, Sarasin, Phloenchit, Rama I, Ratchadamri, Sukhumvit and Charoen Krung roads.
Motorists were advised to use Phetchaburi, Rama IV, Rama 9, Henri Dunant, Phaya Thai, Rama VI, Silom, Sathon and Vibhavadi Rangsit roads during the period.
