Witness heard 'massive bang' as cars damaged in village crash

An eye witness heard a 'massive bang' after a crash in the village of Lambley which left cars 'severely damaged'.

Emergency services were called to Park Lane at around 2.15pm on Tuesday, July 13, following a collision between two cars.

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said: "It was reported neither people in the vehicles suffered life altering injuries, however both cars were severely damaged.

"The road was blocked for a short time."

One witness said they heard a "massive bang".

He said: "We were working around 600 metres from the site and heard a massive bang.

"We watched the rescue helicopter try to land for a while and then did.

"As we were there it is concerning to us what happened - the police closed the road for hours."
