Witness appeal launched after cyclist collides with car on busy Northumberland road

A witness appeal has been launched following a collision between a driver and a cyclist in Northumberland .

Northumbria Police received a report shortly after 8am on Tuesday to the incident on Cowpen Road, near the B&M store in Blyth .

Officers were alerted that a car had been involved in a collision with a male cyclist.

Nobody was seriously injured, and the driver of the vehicle has since made themselves known to police.

Inquiries are ongoing into the incident, and o fficers are now keen for the cyclist involved or any witnesses to come forward.

A number of people are believed to have been in the area at the time of the incident, and they may have information that can assist officers with their investigation.

The victim, or anyone with information, is asked to call Northumbria Police on 101 quoting reference 195 030919, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
