Witness appeal as pedestrian in hospital after being hit by car

Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident which left a pedestrian with serious facial injuries in Salford.

The pedestrian, a man in his 40s, was struck by a red Kia Ceed on Bolton Road.

The incident happened near the junction with Billy Lane, Swinton.

It happened at 11pm on Saturday, December 7.

No arrests have been made.

Officers said the pedestrian remains in hospital for treatment.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has any information, is asked to contact PC Jason Clarke from GMP’s Road Policing Unit on 0161 856 7364 quoting incident number 3385 December 7.

Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
