Witness appeal as man seriously injured after being hit by bin lorry in Condorrat

Road policing officers from Motherwell are appealing for witnesses after a crash involving a bin lorry and a man.

The incident happened around 12.10pm on Friday in the Main Road area of Condorrat.

The 53-year-old man was rushed to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by ambulance with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Police say the Health and Safety Executive has been made aware, with enquiries ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the collision.

Officers are appealing for anyone who saw what happened or who has dashcam footage of the area at the time to call Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 1432 of Friday, 20 May, 2022.
