Witness appeal after PSNI 'find car crashed in hedge with stolen items in it'

Police have issued a witness appeal after 'finding a car crashed in a hedge with stolen items inside it'.

The PSNI is investigating following the discovery in the Woodburn Road area of Carrickfergus on Thursday.

PSNI Mid & East Antrim said: "This evening after 21:30 hours a number of items were stolen from a car parked at Woodburn Forest carpark.

"A short distance away a car was then located crashed in a hedge, with a number of the stolen items inside the car.

"Unfortunately the driver wasn’t with the car when we arrived, but we’d be keen to talk to them.

"If you were in the Woodburn Road area this evening and saw anything suspicious please call us on 101 or anonymously ring crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

"The reference number is 2067 30/07/20."
