Choppington crash: Witness appeal after car collides with lamppost leaving man with serious injuries

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a collision in Choppington in Northumberland which left a 28-year-old man with serious injuries.

At around 10.30am on Tuesday, officers received a report that a black Renault Clio had been travelling on the A1068 at Scotland Gate and collided with a lamppost.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and the 28-year-old lone driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

He remains stable.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is ongoing, and officers are now asking for anyone who has information, or dashcam footage from the area, to get in touch.
