With Tyreek Hill injury, former Georgia Bulldog Mecole Hardman Jr. will have to step up

Mecole Hardman Jr. is now set to be Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes’ number one deep threat. The former Georgia Bulldog Hardman Jr. will be the most exciting Georgia rookie to watch this season. Hardman Jr. is playing on the most explosive offense in football: the electric Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs lost some big-play ability this past Sunday with a shoulder injury to WR Tyreek Hill.

In Hill’s absence, former Clemson Tiger Sammy Watkins stepped up and delivered nine catches, 198 yards, and three touchdowns. Watkins will step into the number one receiver role now. UGA’s Mecole Hardman Jr., who is one of the fastest players in the NFL, will still have the chance to catch deep balls and get lots of targets from Patrick Mahomes. He’ll be in a position to produce big numbers right now with Hill’s injury.

With more pressure to perform, Hardman Jr. will have to adjust quickly to the NFL. Defenses still do not know how to defend the Kansas City Chiefs, who have the best weapons in the NFL. Without Hill, teams are still forced to pick their poison among Sammy Watkins, Travis Kelce and Mecole Hardman.

Hardman Jr. wished Hill a quick recovery on Twitter. The Chiefs know Hardman Jr. will have to step up:
