With Palm Unlocked, Steph Curry further cashes in off the court

Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry shared on Instagram a photo of himself modeling the Palm Unlocked, a device the company describes as, “[a] very small, minimalist mobile device.”

The product’s tagline is, “Be connected, not consumed.”

In the post, Curry shared that he is an investor in the company and was “hyped to announce that you can now buy [the device] unlocked.”

At 30 years old, Curry is now the oldest player on the Warriors roster. In the 2018-19 season, he saw his fellow big-minute teammates break down with injury. It is unlikely that the three-time champion and two-time league MVP ever forgets his own history with ankle injuries that put is NBA career in jeopardy. All around him, Curry is reminded of the short-lived careers of NBA players.

Thus, as he ascends to ever higher heights of celebrity, Curry has put his money to work by investing in tech companies and media endeavors, including Unanimous Media — the company behind the documentary “Emanuel,” which was made in partnership with award-winning actress Viola Davis, and his web series “5 Minutes from Home” and “Stephen vs. The Game.”

He has two shows on ABC television: “Holey Moley,” an extreme miniature golf competition, and “Family Food Fight,” hosted by wife Ayesha Curry, a chef and restaurateur.

Injuries derailed the Warriors’ three-peat quest in the 2019 NBA Finals but Curry has stated that he’s looking forward to the challenge of contending for a championship with his new-look roster. In other words, the underrated player out of Davidson has no plan other than to continue being money on the court.

But whenever Curry decides to hang up his high tops, his and his family’s financial future will be secure so long as he keeps making money off the court.
