DETROIT — The Bears will have three offensive starters sit out Thursday’s Thanksgiving game against the Lions, who will start rookie quarterback David Blough.

The Bears’ inactive list, announced Thursday morning, was academic. On Wednesday, they announced that six players would not play because of injury — and five wouldn’t make the trip to Detroit at all.

The Bears will be without starting tight end Ben Braunecker and wide receiver Taylor Gabriel, who have concussions; starting right tackle Bobby Massie, who has an injured right ankle; cornerback Sherrick McManis, who hurt his groin Sunday; tight end Adam Shaheen, who has an injured foot; and inside linebacker Danny Trevathan, whose left elbow bent the wrong way in the first Lions game.

The Bears added defensive tackle Abduallah Anderson, who’s a healthy scratch, to reach their seven-person inactives list.

Blough will start in place of Jeff Driskel, who hurt his hamstring Sunday. Driskel himself was pinch-hitting for franchise quarterback Matthew Stafford, who broke bones in his back last month.

The Lions ruled out Stafford and, among others, defensive tackle Damon “Snacks” Harrison. Driskel will serve as the team’s backup quarterback in case of emergency.
