Witch Switch by Sibeal Pounder - review

This book is hilarious, making me laugh out loud. It is a brilliant sequel to Witch Wars because the stories fit together like jigsaw pieces.

The story starts with Tiga living with the Brews and having a summer holiday on the Cauldron Islands. Her friend Fluffanora hates the Island but after an urgent call from Fran the fairy they leave to rescue their friend Peggy.

Like in the first book, Tiga and her friends have to face Felicity Bat and Aggie Hoof who are now in charge of Ritzy City. I think Felicity is too mean to be your average baddie and is instead a very clever villain.

Across Ritzy City witches are disappearing and Tiga knows it’s Felicity’s fault. When Tiga & Fluffanora step back in time after drinking “BOOM” they are reminded of another disappearance of the famous fashion explorer Eddy Eggby. Fluffanora thinks the disappearances are linked and they have lots of adventures solving these mysteries.

My favourite part of the story is when Aggie Hoof is tricked into believing there is a place called Shoeland and forces everyone to wear silly fashions like shoes on their ears. I think the two fashion loving enemies Fluffanora & Aggie Hoof are funny because they have opposite ideas of what is fashionable.

I like the world of Sinkville and that they travel by pipes. I especially like the name of one of the shops in Ritzy City called ‘Cakes, Pies, And Thats About It Really.’ What I don’t like about Sinkville is there are no boys.

This was a fun book to read but the story ends on a cliffhanger and now I really want to read the next one.
