Wishaw woman hands over bumper cheque to hospice after charity head shave

A barber just wasn’t going to cut it when a bedbound Wishaw woman decided to have her locks shorn for the first time in years.

Keira Esson, 45, from Craigneuk raise over a grand for St Andrew’s Hospice by having her hair cut for the first time since 2016.

Instead of going to a hairdressers she opted to have it cut by Perfect Pawz groomer Janis Speirs.

They were back at Perfect Pawz last week to hand over the cheque.

St Andrew’s Hospice fundraiser, Lorrett McCutcheon, said: “Thanks to Keira’s courage and the generosity of her supporters, she has raised a fantastic £1,001.16!”
