Wishaw photographer raises a few smiles with hilarious lockdown snaps

A Wishaw photographer has raised some smiles with a series of hilarious lockdown pictures.

Angie Reynolds admits she is more used to snapping stunning wildlife photos down at beauty spots like Perchy Pond.

However, she decided to get creative and roped in kids, six-year-old Gary and four-year-old Monica, for the pictures.

Angie, 44, said: “I think the kids were a bit wary when I asked them to jump on the couch!

“I had to bribe them with Haribos which was funny. When I showed them the finished pictures they were delighted.

“I had to take the pictures of the kids and then my eldest daughter Shaunna took the pictures of myself and then I blended them.

“I hadn’t really done the technique since I was at college so it was nice to go back to it.

“I shared the picture of the Wishaw Memories Facebook page and got a lot of nice comments.

“I also sent it to the teachers at St Ignatius Nursery and Wishaw Academy so the reaction has been nice.”

Angie studied photography at college but took time out after son Gary was born.

She continues to enjoy photography as a hobby even during lockdown and when she was doing school work with the kids.

“It’s still a passion of mine and I always enjoy getting the camera out,” said Angie.

“I don’t have the time to do it full-time but it’s a great hobby and I always enjoy learning new techniques.

“During lockdown I found it difficult teaching at home especially in the good weather so it was a struggle but we did a lot of outdoor learning.

“It was actually quite fulfilling and they enjoyed it.”
