McDonald's in Wishaw will open today after months of having closed doors.
The restaurant will operate drive-thru only when they open up at 11am today.
They will also be operating from a reduced menu, so they can accommodate to the reduced staff size and maintain social distancing.
McDonald's closed their doors at the end of March as the UK was beginning to enter a national lockdown.
They will now operate under new social distancing guidelines, while also having less staff on shift.
Staff will also have to wash their hands at regular intervals, wear PPE and have their temperature checked before and after each shift.
McDonald’s said: “Following a successful pilot we can confirm that 924 drive-thru restaurants will reopen between 2 June and 4 June. We will also add 75 restaurants to McDelivery via either Uber Eats or Just Eat.
“In order to allow for social distancing, we will have fewer employees in our kitchens and service areas.
“To help or smaller teams, we will be offering a limited menu (no breakfast, wraps or shakes) over reduced hours (11am to 10pm).
“We continue to ask that you limit your spend to £25 and use contactless payment methods wherever possible.
“Our teams are adjusting to new safety and hygiene procedures, which will help them to work safely and social distance; we appreciate your continued patience.
“We are delighted to be returning to communities across the UK and Ireland but it will look different and take a little longer. Please bear with us.”
What can you order?
The fast food chain will reopen with a limited menu but will still have fan favourites such as a Big Mac, nuggets and a McChicken sandwich.
Sadly there won't be able to order any breakfast items during lockdown.
This is due to restaurants operating with smaller teams as they stick to social distancing measures.
