Wishaw man admits spitting blood at police and assaulting officer at hospital

A Wishaw man who spat blood at police officers has been ordered to do 125 hours of unpaid community work.

Jordan Lawson, 20, of Saffron Crescent, was also placed under supervision for 12 months when he appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court last week.

He admitted spitting blood at two male officers in Castlehill Road, Wishaw, on June 8.

Lawson also admitted kicking and trying to bite and headbutt one officer.

The court heard he also acted aggressively when taken to University Hospital Wishaw that day.

Lawson admitted headbutting one policeman and kicking another in the Accident and Emergency unit.
