Wishaw Juniors club stalwart KB Grant notches incredible 100th goal for club

Wishaw Juniors sealed an important win on Saturday - with one of the club’s stalwarts notching an incredible 100th goal.

Wishaw travelled to face Lugar Boswell needing points to keep them away from the drop zone.

And they took the lead through a James Coffey header in the first half.

The visitors continued to dominate before receiving a free-kick around 30 yards out from goal in the second half.

Up stepped Grant who fired in a phenomenal strike into the top left corner to bring up his milestone tally in style.

Club Secretary Robert Watson said: “KB is a very popular player and has been a great servant for the club since he joined us back in February 2011 from Hamilton boys club Mill United.

“Our club records are far from complete but in recent years no-one has come near to scoring 100 goals so this is a pretty unique achievement.

“Everyone at the club is delighted for him.”

Wishaw welcome Shettleston, currently two places below them, to the Beltane this Saturday.
