wants to turn The Beltane into a fortress as prepare to face title-challenging Shettleston.
Daly was impressed with his players despite the defeat to Greenock as he stepped into the dugout for the first time.
He reckons that home form will be key for his side as they battle the drop in West Region League One – after slipping into the relegation places last weekend.
: “It’s a tough game and we know we will go in as underdogs.
“When I was here as a player The Beltane was a hard place to go for teams and I want to make that happen again.I want teams to come here and realise that we are a better team than they expect.
“Our home form hasn’t been great but hopefully a good result this weekend can spark a turnaround.
“I don’t want it to be the case that teams who are going well in the league turn up here and roll us over easily.”
He also heaped praise on his call-off plagued squad for their narrow defeat to Greenock.
Dylan McLaughlan’s goal proved to be the difference at Ravenscraig to put a dampener on the Daly’s return to the club and first game in charge.
However, he felt there was a platform to build on for after dropping into the relegation spots.
He said: “We had four call-off’s and I had to draft someone in to play at the back but we battered them. With a bit of luck we would have taken at least a point from the game.
“I’ll say this, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be when I took the job.
“Technically the players are very good. There is some really gifted young boys here who are just lacking in experience.
“They showed they are good players and that they can compete.”
