Wishaw rock band Luna The Professor have released their latest single.
Back on Track is the band’s newest song, and their first since April’s release, Sing For Your Supper.
The song focuses on the theme of getting rid of a pessimistic attitude, and seeing light at the end of a dark tunnel.
Johnny Irwin, lead vocals and guitar, said: “This was recorded in Rocket Science studios in Glasgow with Ross Hamilton. He does a magnificent job of capturing the energy of the track.
“Sometimes between the demo and the final cut you can lose the edge but he really got the emotion and spirit of song.
“We are extremely excited to share this with everyone.
“The cover art of the single is relative to what you want it to be.
“Every human face tells a story but only you can interpret what that face says to you, it’s a theme we’ve been thinking about for a while.”
The band were ready to make 2020 there’s with extensive touring plans lined up.
But like all musicians just now, these were brought to a halt as nearly all live events are still not able to go ahead due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Johnny said: “There more or less hasn’t been much happening this year except doing live streams and recording demos.
“We had a full tour cancelled in April/May to support our last single ‘Sing For Your Supper’ which was rescheduled for September before being cancelled again.
“It sucks big time but as 2020 is coming to a close we hold our heads up with big positivity for the new year, not just for us as a band but for everyone in every walk of life.”
