Two Wishaw salons are joining forces to create more hairdressing and beauty jobs in the town.
Platinum Hair and Beauty and Leighann’s at Mega Tan are teaming up at the new super-salon in Wishaw Main Street, with the entrance within Belhaven Terrace car park.
And to celebrate the team will be hosting a launch party next Saturday, November 13.
Vicky Gaughan, from Platinum Hair, said: “It’s a bigger and better salon but we are only moving a couple of hundred yards down the road.
“We are just getting too busy and we only have six positions so it’s getting a bit crammed especially because we still have certain restrictions in place.
“We will have four more beauty rooms so it has given us all a bit of a boost considering what we have had to put up with over the last year or so.
“It is massive for us. I think everyone was pretty disillusioned, so it just gives us all a lift.
“We already have beauticians taking rooms and we have more opportunities for self-employed hairdressers.
“It’s just a happier workplace and the clients have been amazed by the difference.”
The launch event will certainly be party time, with a DJ entertaining six hours and a whole host of prizes to be won.
Vicky added: “We have been lucky with a lot of local businesses helping us out with prizes.
“GYM24 have offered us a free membership while Corrigan’s have given us a drinks hamper.
“We also have various other prizes and on the day we will have a number of demonstrations plus some Prosecco for everyone to enjoy.”
Platinum and Leighanne’s Hair and Beauty Studios launch party takes place at the new premises on Saturday, November 13, starting from 2pm.
