Wishaw duo Stevie and Alan Jukes crack America at huge SXSW music festival

Two Wishaw brothers have been getting noticed far and wide in the music industry.

Stevie and Alan Jukes have always been involved with bands but their latest project, Saint PHNX, has been racking up the views on YouTube and plays on Spotify.

The pop duo have gained worldwide attention as a band following the release of five successful singles between 2016 and 2017 and are now ready to release their debut album.

The brothers are no stranger to the live scene, having just returned from America, playing at the hugely popular South by Southwest music conference.

The conference lasted for seven days and is attended by more than 50,000 people each year.

The band played a number of shows while over there, and updated fans via social media of how things were going.

Many of the shows were packed out, with new fans and journalists praising the brothers’ charismatic and loud live performances.

Stevie, band singer, said: “We did five shows over there with the likes of AWAL, British Music Embassy and Bud Light and every one was really busy and loud.

“We are amazed with the response and it could not have went any better.”

They have also just been selected for the new Fender global artist marketing campaign, geared toward elevating artists that represent the modern face of guitar.

This programme is the first of its kind for Fender, as well as the rest of the music instruments industry.

The band just released their latest single “Shake” which shows a darker side to the bands lyrics, exploring situations where you have to decide between right and wrong.

“We aim to get the full album out around summer time this year,” said Stevie.

“With the response to the three singles we have already put out from the record it’s clear people want more.

“We have a run of support slots in Europe beginning next month and America around May, June and July so we are preparing to show more people all about us.”
