Police have this evening locked down a street after a serious two vehicle crash in Wishaw.
Pictures shared on social media show a big emergency service presence at the scene of Ryde Road in the North Lanarkshire town.
It's not clear if anyone has been injured at this stage, however it's reported a motorbike was one of the two vehicles involved in the crash, according to the Daily Record.
Police were called to the incident at around 4.30pm this afternoon, with the Lanrakshire Police Division confirming on Twitter: "Officers are currently in attendance following a serious road crash on Ryde Road in Wishaw. Roads around the area are currently closed and local diversions are in place."
A Police Scotland spokesman told Glasgow Live: "Police were called around 4.30pm on Thursday, 25 February, 2021 following the report of a two vehicle road crash on Ryde Road at its junction with Waverley Drive Wishaw.
"Emergency services are currently in attendance and there are no details of injuries at this time.
"The road is currently closed and local diversions are in place."
