Two community champions are aiming to carry on their charity work into the new year.
Angie Cheney and Catherine Craig joined forces in 2021 to help make Christmas a happier time for even more families in need.
With the help of a very successful fundraiser, the pair helped more than 100 children receive presents and have a special time with their families.
And they hope to keep up the good work into 2022, making sure less fortunate families across Wishaw are looked after.
Angie told Lanarkshire Live: "Me and Catherine actually came together from two separate Facebook pages where we both helped people out.
"I started the page Charity@Home and Catherine runs the page Resourceful Community Volunteers.
"We thought it was best to work together as there are so many families who require our help around the festive period.
"We had a really successful fundraising event where we managed to raise £2000 for people in need which meant we could help so many families with Christmas presents at a time they might be struggling.
"We also got together to organise food parcels for families, filled with things such as tins, biscuits and rice.
"But now that Christmas is over we don't have plans on stopping. We want to continue to be there for people who need a helping hand.
"I am going to continue running the discount clothes shop from the containers at Marshall Street and Catherine deals more with people who are in need of household items such as furniture.
"We are self-funded, so all the money goes back to those less fortunate. And we accept donations too through the Facebook pages."
