Mark Daly hailed five-star Wishaw after a ruthless first-half performance blew Glasgow Perthshire away.
The Beltane Park side were 4-0 up at the break before running out 5-1 winners on home turf in West of Scotland League Conference C.
A Kieran Brannan brace and goals from Kieran Campbell and John Cunningham had the hosts cruising, before the visitors pulled a goal back. But David O’Donnell wrapped up the win late on.
The result saw Wishaw leapfrog their rivals into fifth spot in the table and boss Daly said: “The front three were excellent, but it was a brilliant first half from the whole team and we really blew Perthshire away.

“We were four goals up and it could have been more. In the second half we took the foot off the gas and they got one back, but we sneaked another one before the end.
“The job was kind of done in the first half and it was a much-needed performance from us. It’s a big win.
”They have a good team and we were maybe a bit fortunate they were missing a few players – but so were we. We were missing four players and our goalkeeper Iain Stewart pulled out in the warm-up, but it was a much-deserved win.”
Wishaw are clinging on to the coattails of the league frontrunners after recent results.
They sit 13 points off leaders Drumchapel and nine behind second place St Roch’s with a game in hand over them, while they trail third place Neilston by five and fourth place Petershill by four points.

Bottom of the table Vale of Clyde visit the Beltane this Saturday and it can give Wishy the chance to keep the momentum going.
Daly added: “The front three are starting to pull away, but there is nothing to say we can’t go on a run of three or four wins and pull ourselves back into it.
“That’s what we are hoping to do and, hopefully, we kick on after being unlucky at St Roch’s last week because of the circumstances [going down to 10 men].
”I know Vale are bottom of the league, but we have to have the right mentality to do the job.”
