Wishaw boss Mark Daly says it's time to blow the final whistle on the West of Scotland League this season.
The lower league suspension was extended last week until March 1 and with barely a quarter of the campaign completed so far, Daly said: "I think most people's opinion at our level now is let's call it quits.
"I know the league are trying to do everything they can to facilitate the league coming back, but I just don't see the point at all, especially in the Conferences.
"I can maybe understand the Premier coming back for the likes of the bigger teams like Clydebank and Dravel, who have got a promotion push.
"But for us, I don't see it and if it did come back it would be a damp squib.
"I'd love football to come back, but I can't see it.
"I think we just start afresh in the summer."
Yesterday, West of Scotland League chairman Dave McKenna revealed the Covid-19 vaccine rollout gave the league a "glimmer of hope" they could complete the season in some form.
However, Daly added: "I can't see the logic behind it if you are curtailing people's lives in that they can't see their family, but it's okay for boys to travel around the country playing football.
"I'm sure there will still be people out there who want to play and that's fair enough.
"It will be a rush to get finished or it won't be what it is supposed to be.
"You'll be trying to get boys motivated for a 50 per cent season."
