It wasn’t all bad for Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon as their Heisman contending running back Jonathan Taylor surpassed 5,000 yards for his illustrious career.
Unfortunately, the milestone will be overshadowed by a shocking 24-23 to Illinois. Taylor also lost a key fumble in Illinois territory late in the fourth quarter that helped fuel the comeback and ultimate upset.
Despite the loss, Taylor had a big day as he carried the ball 28 times for 132 yards.
The Badgers have no time to sit and sulk as a trip to Ohio State is on the cards for next week.
