Wisconsin RB Jonathan Taylor lives up to hype vs. USF

The 2020 NFL draft should feature a loaded running back class, and Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor is already making a strong case to be the best of the bunch.

The most productive running back in college football history through his first two seasons, Taylor wasted no time adding to his incredible stat sheet in Friday night’s season opener against USF.

Taylor racked up nearly 200 total yards and finding the end zone four times in a 49-0 blowout win:

Taylor struck early, showing off an impressive combination of patience, vision and explosiveness on his first score of the night:

Taylor then showed off his versatility as a pass-catcher, finding the end zone through the air:

Even with worthy challengers like Georgia’s D’Andre Swift and Clemson’s Travis Etienne, Taylor has all the skills to emerge as this year’s top running back prospect. If he keeps doing what he did Friday night against the Bulls, he could easily end up challenging for the Heisman Trophy and a first-round selection in next year’s draft.
