Wirral traffic is facing major disruption over the coming months as more roadworks are due to be carried out.
Planned works may affect your journeys but workers are doing everything they can to minimise issues for drivers.
While National Highways deals with all the major roads and their surveys and upkeep, we have also looked at some of the smaller roads around Wirral that has closures and possible delays.

There are a number of short planned roadworks, but one, on Junction 10 of the M53 will continue until December 31.

The M53 northbound
Disruption for planned roadworks from 8pm on 5 January 2022 to 6am on 6 January 2022 for planned emergency roadside equipment maintenance.

Expect disruption every day between 9pm and 6am from 5 January 2022 to 8 January 2022.
And disruption every day between 9pm and 6am from 10 January 2022 to 15 January 2022.
The M53 southbound exit slip at junction J3
Expect disruption every day between 9pm and 6am from 5 January 2022 to 8 January 2022.
And disruption every day between 9pm and 6am from 10 January 2022 to 15 January 2022.

The A59 eastbound
Disruption for planned roadworks from 8pm on 5 January 2022 to 6am on 6 January 2022.
The A550 southbound between the junctions with the A540 and the A494
Expect disruption every day between 9pm and 6am from 5 January 2022 to 9 January 2022.
And again from 9pm and 6am from 10 January 2022 to 14 January 2022.

Expect disruption every day between 9pm and 6am from 5 January 2022 to 9 January 2022.
