A road in Wirral has been compared to a 'racetrack' by concerned residents as police have vowed to crackdown on dangerous driving.
Merseyside Police has said people have been congregating in cars around Riverview Road, close to an industrial estate in Bromborough on the Wirral, with reports of people "driving in a dangerous manner" and "using the roads anti-socially."
One local resident commented that the road has become "like a racetrack" while others spoke of excessive noise and cars "racing" during the evening and early hours, creating a nuisance for people in the area.
One resident wrote: "That road is like a racetrack 24/7. Guys in BMW's and Audi's racing along the road most days."

In a statement posted on the Wirral Police Facebook page yesterday, a spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We are aware that a group of people have been congregating in Bromborough with their vehicles. Some of which are driving in a dangerous manner.
"This evening we have Officers patrolling the area until the early hours of tomorrow morning.
"If we locate any members of this group or we identify vehicles we believe may be involved, vehicle stop checks and insurance checks will be utilised.
"If you have modifications on your vehicle you must notify your insurance company, failure to do so may invalidate your insurance policy.
"Officers will be proactively checking vehicles and targeting drivers who are using the roads anti-socially."
