People in Wirral will head to the polls next month to vote in what could be the most crucial Local Election in years.
With the ruling Labour group holding the balance of power by a single seat, every vote will count on May 2, with the possibility of the local authority going into No Overall Control.
Last year , there were margins as narrow as 23 votes, so candidates, campaigners and elected councillors have been out on the streets battling for the support of every one of the peninsula's residents.

Each polling station will be open from 7am until 10pm on the day, with most located in public buildings like schools or local halls.

If you're already registered, you will have been sent a polling card in the post telling you which station to go to and cast your vote. If you have not received a poll card but think you should have done, contact electoral@wirral.gov.uk.
You can still vote if you lost your card, however the date for registering to vote in the Local Elections has passed.
