A number of organised fireworks displays will take place in Wirral’s parks this year.
After events were cancelled last year during the pandemic, Wirral Council has confirmed that community firework displays will return to several parks this weekend to celebrate Bonfire Night.
People will be able to enjoy the free displays of fireworks across the borough on Friday, November 5 and Saturday, November 6. On the Saturday, there will also be funfair entertainment for families at Birkenhead Park and Central Park, Wallasey from 12pm to 6pm, before the displays start.
Those attending all events are advised to wrap up warm, use public transport to and from the displays and follow COVID-19 advice. Visitors attending the firework displays or the funfair are advised to do a COVID-19 test beforehand to protect others. There won’t be any dedicated parking for the events.
