HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 All-In-One Printer

Street Price: $180; Deal Price: $130 w/ code 93953

Use code 93953 at checkout to knock this recommended all-in-one printer down to $130 from the typical price of $180. Available in black or white, we praise the HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 in our guide for ease of setup and comparatively affordable ink. We’ve only seen this printer cheaper in refurbished condition, and that price was during the holidays late last year.

The HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 is the top pick in our guide to the best all-in-one printer. Ben Keough wrote, “The HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 All-in-One Printer does virtually everything you could want from an AIO, usually without any hiccups. It’s simple to set up and operate from your computer, phone, tablet, or the printer control panel. Print costs are reasonable, and your documents come out more quickly than they would from almost any other inkjet. Most laser printers will produce sharper text, but print quality is excellent for this type of machine. It even produces frame-worthy glossy photos, and scans look fine too. We have no complaints about the build quality.”

PSB M4U-1 Headphones

Street Price: $173; Deal Price: $146

These wired headphones, a longtime favorite of our writers and ranked in the top three for every person in our testing panel, are down to $146, a solid drop of nearly $30 from recent street pricing. At this sub-$150 price, they’re a great value.

The PSB M4U-1 Headphones are a former top pick and current runner-up pick in our guide to the best everyday audiophile headphones. Lauren Dragan wrote, “If our main pick is unavailable, the $300 PSB M4U 1s were our top pick for the past two years and still have a fantastic overall sound. Every one of our panelists ranked them in the top three, and they comfortably fit a variety of head and ear shapes. Additionally, these headphones have a universal single-button remote and mic on a detachable (and therefore replaceable) cable. They also come in three colors: black, red, and gray.

Dragan continues, “These bring a sense of depth to the sound that creates the feeling of space, rather than a flat wall of sound—clean treble sits lightly over clear mids, complemented by full, rich lows that don’t boom or thud. In other words, consonants in words are clear without sounding harsh, and strings have a full, rich sound rather than a tinny one. And when the bass drops in your favorite party anthem, these won’t rattle, sound sloppy, or lose the detail in the other instruments.”

Echo Dot 3-Pack

Street Price: $120; Deal Price: $75 w/ code DOT3PACK

If you’re interested in getting a few Echo Dot smart speakers to position around the house or even give as gifts, this is a nice opportunity to pick up three for $75 when you add three to cart, then use code DOT3PACK. At $25 each, that matches the lowest per Dot price we’ve seen. Available in both black and white.

The Dot is our affordable Echo pick in our guide to Amazon’s Alexa smart speaker line. Grant Clauser wrote, “For a lot less than the full-size Echo, and with the ability to connect wirelessly to your choice of speaker or sound system, the Echo Dot 2 is a smart option. The original Dot sold out almost as soon as it launched, but the new Dot 2 began shipping in October 2016. The Dot 2 is only about 1½ inches high and includes volume buttons instead of the turnable knob of the Echo (and the original Dot). Amazon also covers the newer Dot in a glossy black or white finish rather than the flat black of the Echo and the first Dot.”

L.L.Bean Signature Leather Briefcase

Street Price: $220; Deal Price: $164 w/ code SALE25

Apply coupon code SALE25 in cart to get an additional 25% off this discounted briefcase from L.L. Bean. The code brings the price down to $164 with free shipping, matching the previous low we’ve posted. While we see this sale price with some regularity, we still haven’t seen this briefcase lower.

The L.L.Bean Signature Leather Briefcase is the budget leather option in our guide to our favorite briefcases. Tim Barribeau and Daniel Varghese wrote, “If you’re interested in a fairly informal leather briefcase but are deterred by the $400 to $500 price tags on many designs, you might like the L.L.Bean Signature Leather Briefcase, a nice bag with soft leather available for much less. It gives you some of the cultural cachet of a leather bag but at a lower price—and it also comes with L.L.Bean’s one-year satisfaction guarantee, so if anything happens to this bag, you know the company will deal with you fairly. The leather feels supple but retains enough structure for the bag to stand upright relatively easily. Although the design isn’t formal, the structure and overall layout make the Signature Leather Briefcase appropriate for carrying with a suit as well as for use in most business situations—but it isn’t so sleek that it’ll look out of place elsewhere.”

Carex Day-Light Classic Plus Light Therapy Lamp

Street Price: $115; Deal Price: $100

Designed to alleviate seasonal affective disorder, light therapy lamps can often be expensive—this one typically runs $115 or more. Down to $100, this is a nice discount on this recommended option recommended by the Center for Environmental Therapeutics. Drops have been rare and haven’t lasted long, so grab this one while you can.

The Carex Day-Light Classic Plus Lamp is the top pick in our guide to the best light therapy lamp. Kit Dillon and Anna Perling wrote, “The Day-Light Classic Plus by Carex projects 10,000 lux of 99.3 percent UV-free light from its 204-square-inch surface, the minimum lux that any SAD lamp needs to be therapeutically effective according to the doctors we interviewed. The Day-Light lamp face mounts to a weighted horseshoe base by an adjustable arm. This arm allows the lamp’s angle and vertical position to be adjusted, reducing overall glare and increasing the flexibility of where and how you can use the lamp. For instance, you can set up the Day-Light in such a way that it allows you to read a book beneath it while keeping most of your face positioned well within the therapeutic 12-inch range of the lamp face. By comparison, to read in front of lamps that sit directly on a desk, you would need to either place the book upright between you and the lamp, shielding you from some of the light, or lay it down in front of you, possibly extending you outside of its therapeutic range.”
