Wirecard chairman will not stand for second term: Handelsblatt

BERLIN (Reuters) - Wulf Matthias will not stand for a second term as Wirecard's chairman in 2020, German daily Handelsblatt said on Friday, citing sources in the financial industry.

For age reasons alone this would not be an option for Matthias, aged 75, Handelsblatt added.

Matthias will keep his mandate until it ends in 2020, the paper quoted a company spokeswoman as saying.

Wirecard was not immediately available for comment when contacted by Reuters.
