Producers of the ITV show Love Island have kept Caroline Flack's death a secret from the contestants.
According to Mirror Online, Love Island was cancelled over the weekend out of respect for the former presenter of the show, who took her own life in her London flat.
As it stands, Love Island will return tonight (Monday, February 17).
Caroline was due in court in three weeks' time, over allegations she assaulted her boyfriend Lewis Burton in an alleged early-morning row in December.
She pleaded not guilty to the charge and her boyfriend begged for the Crown Prosecution Service to drop the charges, insisting that his girlfriend was innocent. However, the trial was still set to go ahead.
The Winter Love Island contestants in the South African villa are unaware of the tragedy and upset happening in the real world.
Sources let slip to MailOnline it was "business as usual" on the show, with the competitors unaware of the shock that spread through the showbiz world after news of her death hit headlines on Saturday.
In the wake of the news, ITV bosses discussed whether the popular show should be axed or not.
It is the third suicide to be associated with the show, following the tragic deaths of Mike Thalassitis and Sophie Gradon in previous years.
Mark Di Stefano, reporter for the Financial Times, wrote on Twitter: "ITV execs and programme makers are meeting now to discuss how to respond to Caroline Flack's death.
"Told to expect more information this afternoon on tonight's episode of Love Island and the long-term."
