'Winning the league at home to Arsenal!' - Spurs fans go nuts over new Premier League fixtures

The 2019/20 Premier League fixtures are now out and Spurs will be at home on the opening day for the first time in nine years.

Man City were the last visitors to N17 on the first day of the 2010/11 season, with the Lilywhites facing trips to the likes of Manchester United, Everton and Newcastle United since then.

However, Mauricio Pochettino's side will have home advantage on Saturday, August 10 with newly-promoted Aston Villa making the trip to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

A trip to champions Man City a week later then follows, with Newcastle and Arsenal also to come in the first month.

Whereas it's quite a tricky start for the team in the opening month, Spurs have actually been handed a kind end to the season with a number of winnable games.

Having looked to be in title contention back in February before defeat at Burnley started a disastrous set of results, Pochettino will be hoping his side will be in the race come the final few weeks of the season.

Well, Arsenal travel to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the very first time at the end of April and many fans have predicted that Spurs will actually claim the Premier League title on that day against their bitter rivals.

Here's what fans have had to say about the 2019/20 fixtures and what could be a momentous day for the club on Saturday, April 25, 2020.
