Two winning tickets for Saturday night’s $1.8 billion Powerball jackpot were sold in Texas and Missouri, according to organizers.
The prize was the second largest ever, according to organizers. It will be split between the two winning tickets.
Officials say that the Texas ticket was sold at a Valero gas station in Fredericksburg, Texas.
"Congratulations to our newest Powerball jackpot winners and the Missouri Lottery and Texas Lottery for selling the winning tickets," Matt Strawn, Powerball Product Group Chair and Iowa Lottery CEO, said in a statement.
"Each $2 ticket sold during this Powerball jackpot run gave players a chance at the prize, while also supporting vital public programs and services in their communities — and that’s worth celebrating!" he continued.
The two winners will get to choose between an annuitized prize of $893.5 million or a single payment of $410.3 million. If they chose the annuity, the winner will get an immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments with an annual 5 percent increase.
The highest payout in the history of the multi-state contest was on November 7, 2022, at $2.04 billion.
It is the 33rd time the Powerball jackpot has been won in Missouri and the third time Texas has sold the Powerball jackpot.
The winning numbers from the Saturday drawing are 11, 23, 44, 61 and 62. The Powerball was 17.
The odds of winning the jackpot are around one in 292.2 million. The last jackpot was won on May 31.
Fifteen Powerball players won a million-dollar prize after matching all five white balls during the drawing.
