National Lottery players were given the chance to scoop a whopping jackpot of almost £45m in last night’s EuroMillions draw.
Friday’s draw of the Europe -wide lottery took place last night at 8.45pm, with the last chance to buy tickets coming at 7.30pm that evening.
Ticket holders were on the edge of their seats as the numbers for the draw were revealed,
The total jackpot for Friday’s EuroMillions was £44,997,255.
Two people scooped last night’s prize, none of which came from the UK, the National Lottery has confirmed.
But there was a second chance to scoop a load of cash as last night’s winning Thunderball numbers were also drawn.
The jackpot for winning ticket holders was £500,000.

The winning numbers for last night EuroMillions were 1, 9, 14, 17, 43 and the Lucky Stars were 6 and 12.
