Just like the Penrith Panthers from 2022 to 2024, the Riff has bagged another win. This time, it’s with a brand-spanking new Wingstop branch, and the first 10 customers who walk through those doors on opening day will get free wings for a year!
Months after its Kings Cross store opened — and was met with Disneyland-level queues and calls for more saucy wings Down Under — the Texas-founded restaurant has decided to make Penrith home for its second store.
“From the moment we opened Kings Cross, Penrith became one of the most requested locations in the country. Western Sydney told us loud and clear that they wanted Wingstop, and we’ve listened,” Wingstop Australia’s country manager Steve Keh said.
Penrith’s Wingstop will have all the stops when it comes to your fried chicken needs, such as 12 mouthwatering flavours like Lemon Pepper, Hickory Smoked BBQ, Hawaiian, Garlic Parmesan, Louisiana Rub, Spicy Korean Q, Mild, Hot Honey Rub, Cajun, OG, Mango Habanero (the best one, IMO) and Atomic.
On its opening day — Sunday, December 28th at Ground Floor, 565 High Street, Penrith — the first 10 customers will cop free wings for a year and exclusive merchandise. The first 50 will clock exclusive merch, and the first 300 will get free wings on launch day.
Alongside all those exciting deals, special giveaways will happen throughout the day, and there will be some live DJs and entertainment to keep your head bumping as you chow down on some Mango Habanero wings.
If you’re a sucker for memberships, opening day will also have a Drip Club registration station!
If the Riff is a bit of a hike for you, Kehl mentioned Wingstop plans to open 110+ locations across the country!
As a Western Sydney girlie, it looks like Mango Habanero wings are going to be my salty sweet treat of the summer!
