Actress Farrah Forke, who is remembered for her three-season stint as helicopter pilot Alex Lambert on sitcom Wings, died on February 25 in her Texas home from cancer.
“Farrah was fierce, tender, loyal, loving, strong, funny, smart, protective, kind, passionate and utterly irreplaceable,” said her family in a statement. “She brought a light so great to the world that even after her passing, the light remains.”
Born January 12, 1968 in Corpus Christi, Texas, Forke made her film debut in Brain Twisters in 1991. A trio of made-for television movies in 1993 followed - Complex of Fear, Journey to the Center of the Earth and Nurses on the Line: The Crash of Flight 7 — at about the same time she joined the cast of Wings.
Following a quartet of appearances on Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman from 1994-95, Forke appeared as a regular in two short-lived TV comedies: Dweebs in 1995 and Mr. Rhodes in the 1996-97 season.
Forke’s other notable film credits include Barry Levinson’s Disclosure, Ground Control and Kate’s Addiction. She also voiced the character Big Barda on the animated television series Batman Beyond and Justice League Unlimited.
Forke left her acting career to raise her twins, Chuck and Wit. She is also survived by her mother, her stepfather, and her three sisters.
