Winger rejected better offer from Nottingham Forest to sign for West Brom - report

Nottingham Forest were reportedly in for winger Kamil Grosicki before he swapped Hull City for West Bromwich Albion today.

Grosicki left the KCOM Stadium today for Slaven Bilic's promotion chasers, signing an 18-month deal with the Baggies.

It is claimed by Greek journalist Antonis Oikonomidis that Forest matched West Brom's offer for the 31-year-old and even proposed better terms to the Poland international but he decided to move to The Hawthorns.

Grosicki was heavily linked with a move to the City Ground in the summer while Martin O'Neill was still manager.

There wasn't much talk of Grosicki coming to Forest under current boss Sabri Lamouchi, who has managed his side to third place in the Championship table behind Leeds United in first and West Brom in second.

Forest look to have done their business in terms of incomings with Adama Diakhaby (Huddersfield Town), Nuno da Costa (Strasbourg) and Gaetan Bong (Brighton and Hove Albion) all signing this month.

Grosicki, who joined Hull from Rennes three years ago, impressed with Hull scoring 26 times and setting up 27 goals in 123 career appearances.
