Winger on transfer agenda for Notts County

Neal Ardley is still looking to strengthen his Notts County squad, after admitting he would like to add two more players if he can.

The Magpies boss is eager to complete the final stages of his transfer business, after admitting he is still short of a couple of players.

Non-league teams can still sign players as the transfer window does not affect them and it is thought a winger is on the agenda.

Speaking after Tuesday's goalless draw against Solihull Moors, boss Ardley stopped short of naming the positions he would like to add reinforcements, but is hoping he can bring them to Meadow Lane in the coming weeks.

“The squad isn’t complete, we’d like to add one or two more if we can,” he said.

“We want a bit of competition in one position and something different in another.

“We are still trying to do that while still trying to look after the players who are not in the squad to see if we can get them playing games.

“Hopefully one or two might happen soon.

“Something could potentially happen before the weekend, but we need to get one in then work on the outs.”
