Wing Fest announces that will ‘go ahead’ this weekend until further notice after Her Majesty Queen’s passing

‘The world’s most famous chicken wing festival’ Wing Fest have released a statement addressing the Queen’s passing and an official update to this weekend’s festival.

Returning to Bristol on September 10 and 11 , organisers have stated the highly-anticipated festival will ‘go ahead as planned’ while awaiting guidance from the Bristol City Council. In light of Queen Elizabeth II’s death , which was announced to the world on September 8, Wing Fest have stated that they will continue forth until further notice.

In a Facebook post, Wingfest UK writes: “Wing Fest is deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen, Elizabeth II. Whilst we await guidance from Bristol Council, Wing Fest is due to go ahead as planned.

Wing Fest will take place at the Harbourside's Lloyds Amphitheatre, where 100,000 wings will be served by 20 different street food traders, restaurants and BBQ teams, where a judging panel will choose who offers the best wings of the bunch.

Tickets are now only available for this Sunday on September 11, with standard day entry tickets priced at £25, where attendees can access a Wing Fest signature trucker hat, as well as access to all rides, games and entertainment.
