At least three cars have been left with shattered windscreens and significant damage after large rocks were thrown at moving vehicles in Brisbane on Monday morning.
Queensland Police Service (QPS) said between 5-5:30am they received reports of three cars being struck while travelling north on Beaudesert Road, near Hamilton Road, in Moorooka.
All three cars sustained significant damage to their front ends and windscreens.
One motorist was treated at hospital for minor injuries from broken glass.
A QPS spokesman said officers were looking for a man, described as being Caucasian and wearing a beanie, who was seen to throw a number of objects around the time of the incident.
"He may have been in the middle of the median strip or on Beaudesert Road outside the school at the time," the spokesman said.
Police are also appealing for anyone who can identify the man or may have dashcam footage and was travelling on Beaudesert Road around the time of the incident to contact them.
"Throwing rocks onto a roadway or at vehicles is an offence and this sort of behaviour could have terrible consequences for any victims," a police spokesman said.
"People committing this offence would be charged and police urge anyone with further information to contact them.
