Window cleaner's van and equipment worth £2.5k stolen from Cardiff street

A window cleaner has had his transit van stolen along with equipment worth thousands of pounds.

The keys to the Ford Transit van, and the van, were stolen from Heathwood Road, Heath sometime between 9pm on Wednesday, June 16 and 2am on Wednesday, June 17.

The blue Pure Freedom cleaning system is bolted down inside the van and is worth £2.500, according to South Wales Police.

A spokesman for the force said: "It is believed that the suspect may have used a tool to reach the van keys through the front door letter box.

"Detectives have been investigating the burglary but are now appealing to the local community for information."

Detectives are appealing for:
• Information on the whereabouts of the stolen van and cleaning equipment.
• Witnesses to any suspicious individuals seen in the area.
• Residents & businesses to check private CCTV from around the time of the burglary.
