The mid-year military reshuffle has shown signs that the Wong Thewan faction is clawing back influence from the Burapha Phayak camp which has dominated senior appointments in the promotion process for more than a decade.
Some 260 military promotions were published in the Royal Gazette Wednesday.
However, promotions within the senior ranks of the First Army grabbed the attention of many observers.
