Win tickets to Alton Towers' Halloween Scarefest 2019 - including fastrack passes for all major rides

Terrifying times await those brave enough to venture to Alton Towers for this year's Halloween epic, Scarefest.

And there are two new additions to create the ultimate trilogy of scare mazes.

The Attic: Terror of the Towers will invite guests to venture to the head spinning heights of The Attic, which is rumoured to be haunted by ‘the Governess’.

Darkest Depths is the other fresh fear experience, taking place aboard the infamous ghost ship, The Mutiny.

(Alton Towers)

The Alton Towers Dungeon will also be getting some additional scares, including the introduction of live action ‘Plague Street’.

Past favourites returning this year include The Altonville Mine Tours and Project 42, which sees visitors looking for a vaccination to cure those affected by a very nasty virus.

Family fun during Scarefest includes a Monster Ball in CBeebies Land with the "fabulous Freaky Five" - Franklyn, Skelvin, Patch, Phil and Gretyl - presenting Big Fun Show Time, with dancing, games and dressing up.

There's plenty for the kids to do at Scarefest too (Alton Towers)

Scarefest opens this weekend - Saturday and Sunday, October 5 and 6 - then continues the following weekend of October 12/13, before a daily run between October 18 and November 3.

And you win tickets that include access to all the rides open at the theme park during the Halloween season, including Oblivion, Nemesis, Wicker Man, Galactica, Rita, Th13teen and Smiler.

All are Silver fastrack tickets for speedy entry.

To find out how to enter, you'll need to buy a copy of the Nottingham Post on Friday, October 4.
