Wimbledon results today LIVE: Andy Murray and Serena Williams OUT with Federer and Nadal in action

Welcome to the Evening Standard’s LIVE coverage of day nine of the 2019 Wimbledon Championships.

It was another day of delightful action in the sunny climes of Wimbledon as Rafael Nadal set up a mouthwatering semi-final clash with Roger Federer.

The friendly foes will meet at the All England Lawn Tennis Club for the first time since 2008 when they played out an epic five-set final, which Nadal won.

The Spaniard beat Sam Querrey in straight sets, while 37-year-old had a tougher challenge after Kei Nishikori, losing the first set before winning in four.

Defending champion Novak Djokovic continued to show his devastating form, blowing away David Goffin 6-4, 6-0, 6-2. The Serbian will meet Roberto Bautista Agut, who makes it into the semi-final of a Grand Slam for the first time after edging past Guido Pella in four sets.

But it wasn't all good news for the WImbledon fans as Andy Murray and Serena Williams suffered defeat in the mixed doubles, losing out to Bruno Soares and Nicole Melichar.

Stay tuned to Standard Sport for all of the action…
