British hope Jack Draper begins his shot at Wimbledon glory this afternoon, after world no1 Jannik Sinner and defending champion Barbora Krejcikova kick off their own chances.
Draper is considered Britain’s best hope of a hometown champion and heads to SW19 as the no4 seed after a recent run to the Queen’s semi-finals, and starts against Sebastian Baez on Court 1. Earlier on the same court, Sinner takes on fellow Italian Luca Nardi.
Centre Court action begins with Krejcikova taking on Alexandra Eala, before no6 seed Novak Djokovic face Alexandre Muller. Coco Gauff, the no2 seed, finishes play on Centre Court against Dayana Yastremska.
In addition to Draper, there are eight further British players on show on day two, including Heather Watson and an all-British affair between Daniel Evans and Jay Clarke on Court 12.
